Project stages
The TURICOR project consists of three stages divided into several
tasks, as shown below:
- Stage I (2003-2004)
- Task 1: Design criteria and protocol for multilingual corpus compilation.
- Task 2: Web sites evaluation protocol. Research and document retrieval.
- Task 3: Design of a web-based data base to allow computer-supported collaborative work and R&D project management.
- Task 4: Implementation of the collaborative web page: public area.
- Task 5: Design and implementation of the TuriCor data base.
- Task 6: Corpus loading.
- Task 7: State of the art in Natural Language Generation (NLG) Systems.
- Task 8: Studies on Spanish Tourism and Travel law.
- Stage II (2004-2005)
- Task 1: Corpus loading.
- Task 2: Implementation of the collaborative web page: restricted area.
- Task 3: Evaluation of NLG systems.
- Task 4: Evaluation of Translation Memory (T M) systems.
- Task 5: Design of an ontology and an interlanguage for the NLG prototype.
- Task 6: Design and implementation of Module A: Symbolic Generator.
- Task 7: Comparative Studies on Tourism and Travel law.
- Task 8: Contrastive linguistics and translation studies.
- Stage III (2005-2006)
- Task 1: Corpus loading.
- Task 2: Compilation of multilingual glossaries.
- Task 3: Design and implementation of Module B: Statistic Extractor.
- Task 4: Design and implementation of Module C: Multilingual NLG prototype.
- Task 5: Assessment of the corpus-based multilingual NLG prototype.
- Task 6: Contrastive and translational analysis of the Turicor corpus. Applied studies.
- Task 7: Tourism and travel law comparative studies. Applied studies.
- Task 8: New venues of research.
